Winners of BAFTA Television Craft Awards

LONDON, April 28, 2024 (ZIZ): Tonight in London, the BAFTA Television Craft Awards unveiled their winners, acknowledging the talented individuals who contribute behind the scenes to the standout TV programs of 2023.

Notable winners include:

  • Charlie Brooker and Bisha K Ali for Writer Drama and Stephan Pehrsson for Photography & Lighting Fiction for “Demon 79” (Black Mirror).
  • Nikki Parsons, Ollie Bartlett, and Richard Valentine for Director: Multi-camera, and Julio Himede, Tim Routledge, Kojo Samuel, Michael Sharp, and Dan Shipton for Entertainment Craft Team for Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
  • The Editing Team of “Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland” for Editing: Factual, and Simon Russell for Original Music: Factual.
  • Atli Örvarsson for Original Music: Fiction, and Gavin Bocquet and Amanda Bernstein for Production Design on “Silo.”
  • “Slow Horses” for Sound: Fiction, and Sam Williams for Editing: Fiction (episode 1).
  • Peter Beard and Bruce Fletcher for Director: Factual for “Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story,” and Peter Hoar for Director: Fiction for “The Last of Us.”

Emerging Talent winners include Kat Sadler for “Such Brave Girls” (Fiction) and Fred Scott for “London Bridge: Facing Terror” (Factual).

Jack Rooke won Writer: Comedy for “Big Boys,” and Aisha Bywaters won Scripted Casting for “Three Little Birds.”

First-time winners included Sharon Long for Costume Design (“The Great”), Lisa Parkinson for Make-up & Hair Design (“The Long Shadow”), and Benedict Sanderson for Photography: Factual (“The Detectives: Taking down an OCG”).

“The Coronation of TM The King and Queen Camilla” won Sound: Factual, and “Wilderness” won for Titles and Graphic Identity. “The Witcher” was honored for Special, Visual & Graphic Effects.

A special award was presented to the MAMA Youth Project for their work in promoting diversity in the industry. Founder and CEO Bob Clarke accepted the award.

The ceremony, hosted by Stacey Dooley, featured top TV personalities as guest presenters.
